Cliftonville YBC - 28 Jan 15

The Mayor was delighted to present a cheque to help the young members of the YBC to attend national competitions. The club has had a good history of producing talented bowlers and it sounds like this year has already started well... an exert from this months Inside Line.

Success for our bowlers both in and out of the league is always encouraging to see, so we were all very proud to see Bailey Roff and Mia Thistleton take first position in The Bert & Vicky Timms Memorial Mixed Doubles at the beginning of December. Well done to all of the Cliftonville bowlers who all had a great day and gained more competitive experience ahead of the South of England Open later this month.

On a similar theme, James McMinn has had a fantastic start to this year. Not only he has logged his second perfect game, but he has finished 1st in the U19 division of the U24 Welsh Open and has just been selected to represent England in the European Youth Championships in Leipzig this spring. This is a huge boost for both James and the club and is just the start of the year - we are all certain that James' attitude and hard work will continue to pay dividends as the season progresses.
