A great Easter event in Margate. A collaboration between Margate Town Team, The National Businesses and Local Independents made for a fun filled day for the youngsters in their local high Street. Activities included a Kids Easter Canvas paint, Kids crafts, Tombola, Face Painting, Guess the Weight of the Giant Egg, Musical entertainment with traditional busking. All this plus a selection of competitions and a fabulous Easter question trail and Easter Egg Hunt for an opportunity to explore what can be found for locals and visitors alike.
The Easter question trail allowed kids to have fun finding out while parents were able to see that thereâￜￜs so much available in Margate that supporting local can often be a better choice than out of town retail parks. All entrants were rewarded with a chocolate mini egg and were entered into a great hamper prize draw on Monday 17th in Pop Up - Margate. Thanks go to our Mayor Robin Edwards in attending with the Mayoress Dorothy Collins in order to draw the winners.
A great start to generating interest and promoting the High Street in Margate and into the bargain more than £800 raised for charities including Porchlight, Turning Point, Children in Need and Cancer Research.
